I had my first day of work today, but before I get into this let me explain the past month of my life. I had no job, was playing rugby 3 times a week, and even skiing a little bit as well. Sounds pretty good right? Right- it was great! Living with mom & dad was enjoyable. But, it's time to "grow up" and get a "big kid job", even though what I am doing now doesn't really qualify as such!
Fast forward to today...
First day at work; learning the ropes, meeting my co-wokers, getting a feel as to where I can fit in with all these new people. I have yet to meet one stuck up or rude person - everybody is super friendly. In fact, as I was unloading my car yesterday, a guy by the name of Pete came by and offered to help. He saw I was wearing a rugby t-shirt and we began talking about rugby.
My roommates are great. Yucil, Mark and Johnathan - and only one of them enjoys skiing/snowboarding, which blew me away. I figured every person in this town was as ravenous and crazy about snow as I was - but I was wrong! After work I caught the bus to get a few runs in on Snowmass Mountain, and the bus driver on the way home has been here since the 70s. He's a good guy, and turns out he has a run at Aspen Highlands named after him ! He also named two runs in Highlands Bowl and Olympic Bowl - Ozone and Deception.
Highlands.
That's about all I can think of now.
